POSTAGE / SHIPPING RATES

UK POSTAGE is £2.85 for first 12" single / LP (doublepacks count as two) plus £1.00 per item thereafter. CD postage is £1.80 for the first disc and 75p for each disc thereafter. All parcels go out 1st Class Recorded Delivery. Please note that we recommend you request extra insurance for orders over £32, as this is the maximum insurance value for parcels sent by our standard delivery. All UK parcels go out 1st Class Recorded Delivery.

EUROPE is £5.99 for first 12" single/LP plus £2.00 per item thereafter. CD postage is £5.10 for the first disc and 95p for each disc thereafter. All parcels are sent out Priority Airmail "Signed For".

USA & CANADA is £9.25 for first 12" single plus £2.00 per item thereafter. CD postage is £5.50 for the first disc and £1.50 for each disc thereafter. All parcels are sent out Priority Airmail "Signed For".

REST OF THE WORLD is £9.55 for first 12" single/LP plus £2.00 per item thereafter. CD postage is £7.00 for the first disc and £1.95 for each disc thereafter All parcels are sent out Priority Airmail "Signed For".

Buying from Busstop Records
How do I know if a record or CD is in stock ? All titles listed are in stock, and our new release and back catalogue pages are updated every few hours to ensure they are as accurate as possible. Occasionally a record may go out of stock before a page is updated - if this occurs, we will e-mail you to notify you of the unavailable item, and you will not be charged for it.

Can I order by telephone or email ? All credit card orders must be placed via the secure shopping cart. If you wish to pay by cheque, postal order, International Money Order or registered cash, please email or telephone.

What forms of payment do you accept ? We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Delta, Switch Maestro, Mastercard, Solo, and JCB. We also accept payment by cheques, money orders or registered cash.

How do I know you have received my order ? We send an e-mail confirmation of each order, stating the items ordered and the total cost. You should receive the e-mail within 6-24 hours of ordering. Most of the time, much sooner.

How long do you take to despatch an order? Most orders are despatched within 24hours.

Is ordering from Busstop Records web site secure ? Yes - the shopping cart area of the site is encrypted to ensure the security of all orders.

Can you guarantee delivery on or by a particular date ? Unfortunately not - we make every effort to despatch orders as quickly as possible, but exact delivery dates are beyond our control.

A record / CD I recently saw on the web site is no longer listed - can I still order it ? Our listings are updated several times each day to show only in-stock items, so if an item goes out of stock, it can no longer be ordered.

If a record is not listed, can you order it in for me ? Unfortunately we cannot place special orders for customers.

Do you sell second-hand records ? Yes. The records in our ""Classics" sections include some secondhand copies, but these are checked to a high standard before being listed. We tend to avoid selling "DJ used" copies of records. Many of our "Classics" are unplayed end of line copies bought from warehouses around the world. All records in our "New Releases" section are new.

Do you give discounts for large orders ? No - we do not operate any discount schemes.

How long will my order take to arrive ? Depending on your location, orders take varying times to arrive. Average delivery times are as follows:

UK : 1-2 days

Europe (EU): 4-8 days

USA : 6-14 days

Rest of the world : 6-14 days

Please note : These are average times. In practice orders often arrive much quicker, but occasional postal delays may mean a package takes a little longer.

Do you have a shop I can visit ? No, we are an Internet mail-order company only.

Is it possible to collect my order from your offices, instead of having it mailed ? No - unfortunately we do not have a collection facility available.

When will my card be charged ? Unlike some web sites, we do not charge your card online, but instead charge it only when the order is picked and ready to be despatched. The card is usually charged within 24 hours of the order being received.

How will the package be delivered ? We use first class Royal Mail "Recorded Delivery" in the UK; abroad, your package will usually be delivered by your national postal service and a signature will usually be required on receipt of your parcel.

After your purchase
Can I add items to an order I have already placed ? As we process orders very quickly, unfortunately it is not possible to add to an existing order. If you require further items, you must place a new order via the shopping cart. (The extra postage cost of sending two separate orders is relatively small.)

What if my card payment is not authorized ? Your order will be reserved for you, and you will receive an e-mail from Busstop Records to inform you of the problem with your card. If you do not contact us within 24hours of recieving our email, your order will be cancelled.

What if my records are lost in the post ? In the case of UK orders, 10 calendar days must elapse after the despatch date before we consider the package to be missing; in the case of non-UK orders, one month must pass. After this time, please email jon@busstop-records.co.uk and we will look into the missing package. All orders require a signature upon receipt of their package.

Before a replacement package can be sent, we will require you to contact your local postal delivery office to check that the item is not awaiting collection. (In the UK, details of your local delivery office can be obtained from Royal Mail Customer Services on 08457 740740.)

If we suspect that a customer's package has been stolen in the post, we reserve the right to refuse to supply further orders.

Once i have received my order
What if my order is damaged in transit ? Please contact jon@busstop-records.co.uk if your package arrives damaged. In order to replace the damaged goods, you will have to return your parcel to Busstop Records. We will then send out a replacement package plus a cheque to cover the returned postage costs. Please do not return damaged items to us without contacting us first as you will need a returns number to attach to your returned parcel.

If I order from outside the UK, will I pay customs charges ? If you are ordering from within EU Europe, you will pay no customs charges. Most other countries allow small packages to be delivered without charge, but some charge customs duty - please contact your national customs office regarding this subject, as the customer (not Busstop Records) is always liable for any such charges. However, even in these countries, it is possible to avoid customs taxes by ensuring that the value of the package is less than the local tax threshold.

What if I do not like the records I have ordered ? Can I return them ? No, all orders are on a "firm sale" basis and we cannot exchange items unless damaged or faulty.

I have received only part of my order - why is this ? Due to UK Post Office weight limits, we sometimes split larger orders (8 items or more) into separate packages. Often they will arrive simultaneously, but sometimes the second package will arrive a few days later. If the order is split in this way, we mark the package "1 Of 2" to show that the order has been split.

Privacy policy
Busstop Records takes the privacy of its customers very seriously, and will only collect information in order to fulfill customer orders and (if requested by the customer) to provide information via our e-mail new release lists. We never send unsolicited e-mails to customers, and we do not sell mailing lists or customer information to any other companies or individuals.

To process an order, we require your name, e-mail address, delivery address, the address at which your credit card is registered, credit card number, valid from date (if applicable), expiry date, issue number (if applicable) and the 3 digit security number from the back of your card (to be used in our secure server). To receive our new release information e-mails, we require only your e-mail address.

The shopping cart part of the site is secure, so that your order details are encrypted in your browser before they are sent to us. The order is then processed on a server that is not connected to the Internet.
